Unwilling to wait for the city of Montreal to institute curbside organic-waste pickup, he started Compost Montreal three years ago and now helps people and businesses across the Island reduce waste by turning their foodscraps into rich earth. McLoed even gives a portion compost back to his clients every year, to enrich their gardens.
